On 6–10 May, 2019 Training Event on the Regulatory Control of the Decommissio-ning of Facilities organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate of Lithuania (VATESI) takes place in Vilnius.
IAEA lecturers will demonstrate and test a new training module for the specialists of state regulatory and supervisory institutions. The training will cover topics related to the application of the IAEA safety requirements for the decommissioning of facilities, as well as the implementation of the functions of state regulatory and supervisory authorities.
The event is attended by the experts of the IAEA, VATESI, Radiation Protection Center and representatives of the nuclear safety regulators and technical support organizations of Bulgaria and Ukraine.
