VATESI prepared and submitted to the European Commission report on the implementation of the Council Directive 2009/71/EURATOM of 25 June 2009 establishing a Community framework for the nuclear safety of nuclear installations. This Report was prepared in consultation with Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Education and Science and State Enterprise Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant.
Report presents that all Directive provisions are implemented and effective nuclear safety regulatory framework in Lithuania has been established, high level of safety of nuclear installations (INPP and all radioactive waste storage facilities which are on the INPP site) is achieved.
