On 28 November 2018 State Nuclear Safety Inspectorate (VATESI) hosted radiation protection specialists from Georgia Ms. Khatia Jikuridze and Mr. George Dzagnidze.  

Guests were acquainted with the activities of VATESI Emergency Operations Center and VATESI functions in emergency preparedness and response to nuclear or radiological accident.

This meeting was a part of scientific visit organised by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Georgia’s radiation protection specialists enhanced their knowledge in emergency preparedness and response to nuclear or radiological accident, got acquainted with the Lithuanian system of civil protection and radiation protection infrastructure. Guests also visited the Radiation Protection Center and the Fire and Rescue Department.
