On 28 September 2016 State Nuclear Power Safety inspectorate (VATESI) Head Michail Demčenko signed the Terms of Reference of European and Central Asian Safety Network (EuCAS).
“VATESI connects to the EuCAS network and will participate with its knowledge and experience to build a common understanding of safety issues and efforts to keep the high level of safety culture in the region”, stated Michail Demčenko.
The purpose of the EuCAS Network is to facilitate the exchange of information and experience among regulatory bodies and technical support organizations on safety issues of regional interest, to build a common understanding of these issues and to support the coordination of capacity building initiatives, based on a common reference to IAEA safety standards.
