Regional training course focused on specialists knowledge and preparedness

On 6–10 June, 2016 regional training course “Regulatory Oversight of Human and Organizational Factors” organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate of Lithuania (VATESI) took place in Vilnius.

Representatives of national regulatory bodies from Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Turkey took part in this training course. Lecturers from Canada and France shared practices applied in their countries.

Experts especially highlighted the importance of specialists’ knowledge and preparedness, shared common practices and their personal experience gained during professional career in oversight of human and organizational factors. Participants of the course had a possibility to discuss various inspection methods and human and organizational factors inspection programmes and their implementation in operating facilities and facilities under decommissioning.
